Carl Vinson Institute of Government

The Carl Vinson Institute of Government is now accepting registrations for the FY 2016 Government Financial Management Program courses. State employees can take advantage of a number of course offerings to help them fulfill their job responsibilities in both the finance and budget areas. New course offerings include:

      Andrew Young School of Policy Studies

      The Center for State and Local Finance provides high-caliber executive education to state and local public finance professionals. The classes focus on building strong analytic and strategic thinking skills and provide a content foundation organized around the knowledge needed to become a Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO). The program consists of six courses, each taking place over three or four days. Topics include capital budgeting, debt management, governmental accounting, leadership and more. Classes are eligible for continuing education (CE) course credits.
